Introduction

"Voluntary organisations can benefit from People Count by comparing their HR performance with those of their peers. This allows them to share good practice as well as the opportunity to develop a more strategic approach to human resource management."

Lai-Har Cheung, Employment Practice Manager, UK Workforce Hub, hosted by NCVO

We currently run three annual benchmarking studies:

The benchmarking studies

Our benchmarking studies provide organisations with the information and resources to pinpoint key performance issues and prioritise change.

The studies are tailored to specific sectors, and developed with the help of partner organisations and steering groups made up of leading professionals. We currently run studies in the Third Sector and the Law Sector.

The benchmarking process

Participation in the studies involves filling out a questionnaire, and on completion you will receive a detailed sector-wide report including case studies of good practice, as well as a 'participant scorecard' which sets out your organisation's performance on more than 250 key measures compared to 7-20 peer organisations. Peers can be chosen by sub-sector, size and location.

Participants are invited to a launch to discuss the results of the studies with Agenda Consulting and their peers, and we also run a regular series of events designed to address some of the issues that arise from the studies.

We offer a one-to-one telephone consultation as part of the subscription to all our participants, aimed at helping them to interpret their results and produce an action plan.
