Employee surveys – how do you compare?

Employee Survey Infographic tallThe results of People Count Third Sector 2015 HR and workforce benchmark study will be published in mid-August 2015. Participants in the study will have access to online drill-down reports and will be able to see how they compare to their peers on around 150 key HR metrics.

The sample is made up of 73 organisations from across the Third Sector, including Housing Associations, Children’s Charities, Hospices, Social Care Organisations, INGOs, Health and Medical Research Organisations, Disability Charities, and Animal Welfare Charities.

Early analysis has revealed some interesting findings about employee surveys in the not-for-profit sector.

90% of respondents have undertaken an employee survey in the last 3 years – up 3% on last year. The response rate for employee surveys differs across the sample quite significantly. The median response rate is 67% and ranges from 21% – 99%.

We’ve undertaken surveys with over 100 Third Sector organisations, from multi-national NGOs and large national charities to local hospices. The average response rate for the surveys we have run is 76%, 11% higher than the People Count respondents’ average.
