Roger Parry, Director of Agenda presents Award to Jewish Care

19 May 2015 – Agenda Consulting, a research consultancy specialising in the not-for-profit sector, has launched an ‘Employee Engagement Award’ to recognise clients who have demonstrated high levels of employee engagement. This week they presented this award to social care organisation, Jewish Care in recognition of their employee engagement practice.

To qualify for an award, organisations will have participated in an Agenda Consulting Employee Engagement Survey. They will have achieved a response rate of 50%, and 80% of respondents will have agreed or strongly agreed with the statement “I would wholeheartedly recommend this organisation as a good place to work”, signifying very high employee engagement.

Roger Parry, Director of Agenda Consulting said: “Our new award recognises clients that have demonstrated outstanding practice in employee engagement in the not-for-profit sector. Increasingly, not-for-profit organisations are surveying their staff and volunteers to measure their engagement and identify areas for improvement.

“An engaged workforce will deliver many benefits to an organisation including higher retention levels, reduced absenteeism and higher individual performance and we believe it’s important to highlight organisations that are doing it really well.”

Jewish Care is the largest health and social care charity for the UK’s Jewish community, caring directly for over 7,000 people every week. The organisation provides a wide range of services for people who are elderly, mentally ill, physically disabled, visually impaired, as well as Holocaust survivors and refugees. Jewish Care also offers support and guidance to families, carers and the bereaved, as well as programmes for children and young people. Jewish Care is the second recipient of the award.

Diane Blausten Director of HR at Jewish Care said: “We were delighted to be presented with this award. It is a recognition of the work we have undertaken to ensure we engage our staff and our ongoing quest to ensure we are a great place to work. Many of our staff have told us that Jewish Care is like ‘one big family’ and that they enjoying working in such a friendly, supportive and culturally diverse organisation. Our challenge now is to ensure we work on the areas that staff told us need improvements and strive to go from good to great.”

Roger Parry, Director of Agenda Consulting presented Jewish Care staff with a trophy in recognition of the award. The organisation will also be able to use the Agenda Consulting Employee Engagement Award logo to support recruitment and marketing.

Roger Parry commented: “We are thrilled that Jewish Care has received the Employee Engagement Award this year. We have worked with them for a number years and know how passionate staff are about the organisation and its work.”
