Square pegs and round holes? Designing volunteer roles for a new generation
Volunteers often form the largest proportion of a charity’s workforce. Evidence suggests that volunteers’ expectations are changing, yet roles can remain the same for many years. How do we design roles, operating models and organisational structures that continue to meet organisational need, while also engaging and retaining volunteers?
This panel discussion expects high levels of audience participation in exploring issues of workforce planning, integration across HR and volunteering, and management of change. Participants will leave with practical suggestions, and access to a support network of people also engaged in this issue.
