We run a popular programme of events, including half day workshops throughout the year and an annual conference in March, providing a forum for discussing and communicating good practice. This year we are also running a conference on Reward in the Voluntary Sector in October.
For the first time this year we will be holding a Voluntary Sector Reward Conference. The conference will be held on Thursday 23rd October 2008 at NCVO in London. Keynote speakers include Helen Murlis, Director at the Hay Group.
Our hugely successful annual conference was held on Thursday 6th March 2008. The conference addresses strategic human resources issues in the voluntary sector. 2008 was its fourth year, and due to rapid growth we this year moved to a larger venue, Regent's Park College in London, in order to satisfy high demand for places. The next Strategic HR in the Voluntary Sector conference will be held in Spring 2009.
Our workshops investigate topics that have been identified as priorities for the Voluntary and Community Sector through our benchmarking studies, People Count and Finance Count. They are structured around a case study from a high performing organisation, which identifies good practice and pitfalls from the practical experience of a fellow professional. The workshops also provide time to discuss your ideas and experience with fellow delegates, the presenter and Agenda Consulting.
Our finance workshops are delivered with the help of CFDG (the Charity Finance Director's Group) and our human resources workshops with support from NCVO (the National Council for Voluntary Organisations).
