Working with the not-for-profit sector, we understand the importance of volunteers and the value that they add to Third Sector organisations. For this reason, all Agenda Consulting employees are encouraged to volunteer for an organisation of their choice. This year, the whole Agenda team took a day out of the office to help a local charity, Restore.
Restore is an Oxfordshire charity with extensive experience of providing innovative rehabilitation, employment and training support for people with mental health problems. Part of Restore’s work includes running a Garden Café, which sells local, fair-trade food. On a sunny day in August, the Agenda team met at the Garden Café and redecorated the kitchen.
Research Consultant Katharina Hutchings said of the experience: “It was a really fun day, it was great to spend time with colleagues doing something different and for a good cause. The work Restore do is really important and it was lovely to be part of that for a day.”
Following the volunteering day, Agenda’s Director Roger Parry has embarked upon a cycling adventure across France from Paris to Nice in order to raise money for the charity. You can follow Roger’s travels on Twitter – @rogerparry59 – and access his fundraising page here.
